This beautiful town located on the Mumbai-Goa

anchor and take day trips to exotic locales
nearby. The sheer sight of the Vaishishti
River calmly flowing through Chiplun is
worth going all the way. Then you can
do the day trips to Guhagar beach (50
kms.), Ganapatiphule (110 kms.), Parshuram
temple (210 kms.) and Mango country Ratnagiri
(80 kms).
How to get there?
The drive to Chiplun along the Mumbai-Goa
national highway 17 is a great one-with
smooth roads all the way. If you must
take a break stop at Biswa at Mahad- a
clean joint offering decent food at a
decent price.
