rice fields, lakes and rivulets. Kashid
has a 3 km stretch of beach with the cleanest,
whitest sand and Casuarina groves that

of the beach, you can visit the Janjira
Fort, the Nawab's palace, Ganapati temple
and the Birla temple nearby.
How to get there?
Driving down to Kashid itself is a rejuvenating
experience. Particularly the stretch after
Wadkhal naka on Alibaug road where the
vastness of free space is visible at its
best. The winding road to Kashid provides
glimpses of the sea, mountains and the
shores.
